Have you, your child, or someone in your environment ever suffered a head injury? Whether it’s from cycling or skiing, climbing, or during sports – accidents happen quickly, and it’s often difficult to assess the severity of an injury directly on the field. Many symptoms are not specific to a concussion, which makes diagnosis challenging.
To assist in the recognition of concussions in children, adolescents, and adults, the “Concussion Recognition Tool” (CRT6™) has been developed. This important tool has now been updated and is available in German for the first time.
The CRT6™ provides clear guidance on recognizing the signs and symptoms of a concussion. It is an essential tool for coaches, parents, teachers, and anyone involved in sports activities.
We would like to thank the Tools Committee, consisting of Jon Patricios, Ruben Echemendia, and other members of the Concussion in Sports Group, for their excellent collaboration. Special thanks also go to the ZNS-Hannelore Kohl Foundation and the Federal Institute for Sports (BISP) for their support.
Download the Concussion Recognition Tool now and keep it handy. It could be crucial in acting quickly and correctly in the event of an accident.
